Camera Projects Reflection

For the Camera Movements assignment, the learning curve was very smooth. It was a very easy assignment, all I had to do was write a few things in my notebook and I was all set. It was a bit of a hassle to coordinate with my group, but since the project was, as I said, pretty easy, there wasn't an issue and we got the project in on time. The only real problem was that sometimes we'd have a technical issue with a shot, and we'd have to keep cutting it, or sometimes we'd accidentally shoot in portrait and not landscape, but other than that we got it done fast. Next time though, I have to find something to signal my actors to move other than snapping so my group members knew when to move, because then they'd look at me and go into the scene, and that's very immersion breaking.

And the Camera Angles project, that one was pretty fun I can't even lie. It was so easy to do, in fact, that we had the time (and an excuse) to watch Shaolin Soccer mid-class. I will admit, getting the pictures from the guys did end up being a major issue, and it caused me to turn in the whole assignment late, but once I did the rest was a piece of cake. And, to top it off, I do think it was fairly educational. I do notice now that I'm seeing shows and movies a little differently now because of it. Still though, next time I'm 100% just going to take the pictures myself, because I had to turn in the project late because of it.
